This August, Paris is once again preparing for its grand summer music celebration – the Rock en Seine festival, taking place from August 21 to 25, 2025. This renowned festival, held in the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud park, just outside the city, brings together tens of thousands of visitors and some of the most prominent names from the global music scene each year.

Founded in 2003, Rock en Seine has grown to become one of the most important music events not only in France but across all of Europe. In previous years, its stages have hosted legendary acts such as Radiohead, The Cure, Arctic Monkeys, Rage Against the Machine, Massive Attack, Pixies, PJ Harvey, LCD Soundsystem, and Nine Inch Nails.
This summer, the festival presents an impressive lineup once again. Among the 2025 headliners are: Queens of the Stone Age, Fontaines D.C., Lana Del Rey, Vampire Weekend, Anyma, Chappell Roan (with her only concert in France), Last Train, Empire of the Sun, Justice, Floating Points, Kendrick Lamar, Blur, Tame Impala, FKA Twigs, IDLES, Aurora, along with many other artists shaping today’s music scene — from indie and alternative rock to hip hop, electronic, and experimental music.
For visitors from the Balkans, the five-day Rock en Seine festival is an ideal combination of high-quality production, cultural diversity, and Parisian charm. The festival takes place in the beautiful surroundings of a former royal park, with well-organized infrastructure, multiple stages, chill-out zones, art installations, and activities for all ages.
Beyond its stellar international lineup, it also offers insight into the French music scene. At the same time, Rock en Seine maintains a socially engaged voice, supporting ecological and solidarity-driven initiatives, while embracing sustainability, inclusivity, and diversity.
Rock en Seine Festival 2025 unfolds across five music stages, each with its distinct focus and atmosphere: Grande Scène – the festival’s main stage, featuring the biggest international stars, Scène Revolut, Scène du Bosquet, Scène Horizons, and Scène Île-de-France – a special stage devoted to French performers, especially those from the Paris region. It promotes emerging artists, local music collectives, as well as established names who shape today’s French music scene. This last stage, Île-de-France, offers visitors a chance to explore the richness of local music production—from soul and jazz, through pop and hip-hop, to experimental and electronic music.
For audiences from Serbia and the region — who in recent years have increasingly attended European festivals — Rock en Seine is a perfect summer music escape after Exit Festival. It’s easily reachable by low cost planes, ticket prices are flexible and accessible, and the lineup balances both emerging talents and globally acclaimed artists.
Located just outside of Paris, Rock en Seine offers the unique opportunity to experience both the city’s classic art scene and its vibrant, everyday urban creativity through unforgettable performances and concerts. Simply put, Rock en Seine remains one of the most rewarding music experiences in the European festival calendar.
