On October 10, 2025, the solo exhibition Sound(less)/(Brez)zvočno by intermedia and interdisciplinary artist Dragan Vojvodić was opened at the artKIT exhibition space (Maribor, Slovenia). The artist performed a musical performance at the opening.

The exhibition connects autobiographical discourse with ideas from avant-garde and conceptual art practices, interrogating sound and its absence. The author draws on his own experience – music/sound – to articulate a space in which the auditory transforms into the visual, creating a new circumstance and narrative.

Through artistic processes of appropriation and reinterpretation, Dragan Vojvodić refers to authors such as Kazimir Malevich, John Cage, Marcel Duchamp, and Joseph Kosuth, whose artistic processes he places in a new context as a starting point for re-examining the meaning and boundaries of media and artworks, opening a dialogue between historical heritage and personal experience.

Installations and ready-made objects are created from musical records – signs of cultural memory, documents of time, but also testimonies of exile. Placed in circular forms, they question emptiness and discontinuity, while the reproductive potential of their sound suggests absence.
