The festival concluded with The National’s closing Flamingo set, marking the end of this year’s extraordinary event. The sixteenth edition of Way Out West was truly special, featuring incredible vibes during performances by Fred Again, PJ Harvey, The National, Pulp, Jack White, etc. Additionally, the festival included three weddings, a variety of delicious food options, skate garden sessions, film screenings, and countless other highlights that made Way Out West 2024 one of the greatest editions in the festival’s history.

„This year, we welcomed over 70,000 attendees over the three festival days. That’s more than the population of a typical Swedish city and sets a new attendance record for us. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!“ said Kimmie Winroth, project manager for Way Out West.
„Breaking the attendance record once again meant so much to us; it was truly a sign that we were creating something people genuinely enjoyed. We were endlessly grateful to everyone who contributed to making us the institution in Gothenburg that we had become,“ Winroth added.
Looking ahead, Way Out West announced that the festival would return to Gothenburg from August 7 to 9, 2025, for its 17th edition. A limited number of Blind Bird tickets were available for purchase on the festival’s website.
