#Značenje doma_2022
Meaning of Home (Farsickness/Homesickness/Homlessness) predstavlja dugogodišnji, interdisciplinarni, kolaborativni projekat (istraživanje, ankete, tekstualni i audio-vizuelni radovi, performans) nevladine organizacije iz Novog Sada KEC Art Box, koji su 2016-2022 godine multimedijalni umetnik Dragan Vojvodić i književnica Ljiljana Maletin Vojvodić realizovali tokom svojih rezidencijalnih i istraživačkih projekata, u saradnji sa umetnicima i lokalnim stanovništvom u gradovima prestonicama kulture (Plzen 2015 i Tartu 2024), internacionalnim rezidencijalnim centrima (Typa museum, Konstepidemin, Nelimarkka museum, Gunnar Gunnarshús), udruženjima umetnika ili nevladinim organizacijama (EU-Japan Fest, Tokio) u Finskoj, Estoniji, Islandu, Češkoj, Švedskoj, Japanu, kao i sa psihološkinjom Majom Babić (Gerontološki centar Novi Sad).
Interdisciplinarna izložba Značenje doma_2022, koja će biti realizovana uz učešće lokalnog stanovništva, kustosa, umetnika i volontera iz Estonije (Izabella Eck, Fondacija Tartu 2024), SAD (Anthony Cervino, Shannon Egan / Ejecta Projects), Švedske (Nils Ramhøj), Japana (japanski umetnici u rezidenciji ART BOX u Novom Sadu zahvaljujući saradnji sa EU-Japan Festom iz Tokija) i Srbije (Stevan Kojić, Virtual.Unit – creative VR lab, Dejan Ilić), preispituje fenomen doma u interdisciplinarnom, lokalnom i internacionalnom kontekstu.
Ova izložba će pokušati da odgovori na pitanja u vezi sa značenjem doma u savremenom kontekstu. Da li su nam dom postale socijalne mreže? Da li je u kontekstu globalizacije doživljaj doma izgubio etničku specifičnost? Koliko na sadržinu pojma utiču socijalna marginalizacija, pandemije, migracije? Na koji način društvo posmatra migrante i migrantkinje i beskućnike i beskućnice? Može li nas umetnost učiniti društveno odgovornijim? Što je sa ljudima koji su izgubili svoj dom? Koji nemaju nikoga? Koji žive u staračkom domu? Koji su osuđeni da žive na ulici? Da li netko razmišlja o njima/ osjećamo li empatiju? Da li im možemo pomoći i da li želimo da im pomognemo? Da li je to naša individualna ili kolektivna odgovornost/krivica?
Kreativno-edukativni centar Art Box će tokom trajanja izložbe, kroz ilustracije učenika Škole za dizajn „Bogdan Šuput”, predstaviti i publikaciju Kako razumeti novi umetničku praksu (srpsko-engleski ilustrovani vodič kroz novosadsku novu umetničku praksu za mlade). U pitanju je svojevrsna srpsko-engleska mapa za kretanje kroz novosadsku novu umetničku praksu u izdanju Art Box-a namenjena mladima – ilustrovana konceptualna slagalica, čiji sadržaj akcenat stavlja na najvažnije koncepte, ideje, pojmove, autore i skreće pažnju na alternativne umetničke izraze kao što je performans, umetničke akcije, izlaganja i intervencije u vangalerijskim prostorima, i sl. U ovom projektu književnice Ljiljane Maletin Vojvodić pod pokroviteljstvom Fondacije „Novi Sad – prestonica kulture 2022″, tekstove su pisale Ljiljana Maletin Vojvodić i Dragana V. Todoreskov dok su ilustacije radili učenici Škole za dizajn „Bogdan Šuput”.

From 23 November to 12 December, a performance and exhibition titled #Meaning of Home_2022 will be held in the District, as part of the Other? Europe programme arch. Within this programme, the meaning of home will be re-examined through an interdisciplinary approach. At the opening, the VR work of Virtual.Unit – creative VR lab will be presented, which examines the theme of the exhibition in the context of climate change through virtual reality, which visitors will be able to view with the help of a VR headset.
Meaning of Home (Farsickness/Homesickness/Homelessness) represents a long-term, interdisciplinary, collaborative project (research, surveys, textual and audio-visual works, performance) of the non-governmental organisation KEC Art Box from Novi Sad, which has been conceived by multimedia artist, Dragan Vojvodić and a writer Ljiljana Maletin Vojvodić during their residency and research projects, in cooperation with artists and locals from the European Capitals of Culture (Plzeň 2015 and Tartu 2024), international residency centres (Typa museum, Konstepidemin, Nelimarkka museum, Gunnarshús), associations of artists or non-governmental organisations (EU – Japan Fest, Tokyo), and in Finland, Estonia, Iceland, Czech Republic, Sweden, Japan, etc.
Implemented with the participation of local residents, curators, artists, and volunteers from Estonia (Izabella Eck, Tartu 2024 Foundation), USA (Anthony Cervino, Shannon Egan / Ejecta Project), Sweden (Nils Ramhøj), Japan (Japanese artists in ART BOX residence in Novi Sad, thanks to the cooperation with the EU-Japan Fest from Tokyo) and Serbia (Stevan Kojić, Virtual.Unit – creative VR lab, Dejan Ilić), the interdisciplinary exhibition #Meaning of Home_2022 re-examines the phenomenon of home in an interdisciplinary, local and international context.
Have social networks become our home? Has the experience of home lost its ethnic specificity in the context of globalisation? To what extent do social marginalisation, pandemics, and migration affect the content of the term? How does society see migrants and the homeless? Can art make us more socially responsible and sensitise our relationship with the marginalised, the Other and the different? How about the people who lost their homes? Those who live in nursing homes? Who are condemned to live on the streets? Is anyone thinking about them? Do we feel empathy? Can we help them, and do we want to help them? Is it our individual or collective responsibility/guilt?
During the exhibition, the creative and educational centre Art Box will also present the publication How to Understand New Art Practice, an illustrated bilingual guide. It is a Serbian-English map for moving through Novi Sad’s new artistic practice intended for young people – an illustrated conceptual puzzle, the content of which emphasises the most important concepts, ideas, terms, and authors, and draws attention to alternative artistic expressions such as performance, artistic actions, exhibitions and interventions in non-gallery spaces, etc.
