The Moco Museum opened its doors in Barcelona in 2021, marking the launch of its second branch, the Moco Museum Amsterdam, located on Museumplein, which originally opened in 2016.

Moco Amsterdam is housed in the Villa Alsberg, a townhouse overlooking Museumplein in the heart of Amsterdam, between the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. The building was designed in 1904 by Eduard Cuypers, nephew of the renowned Pierre Cuypers, designer of Amsterdam Central Station and the Rijksmuseum.
